“The African ballet troupe, with all its glories of wool, gauze and ‘[stuffing?]’ still delights the crowd of pleasure seekers who nightly throng this popular hall. The flying zephyrs balance themselves upon the extreme point of the mammoth toe with as much skill and grace as many of their fair rivals, and the ‘Falling Cupids,’ with their pranks and antics, cast their shade over the audience until they fairly scream with laughter. The programme for the present week contains many of their best pieces, and their songs are of the highest order.”
