“Lizzie Wilmore (Mrs. Wm. Ellerton) made her debut in this country at Niblo’s Garden on April 22d, as Carline, in the ‘Black Crook.’  She sang ‘Going on a Pic Nic’ and a duet with George Atkins called ‘When the Balmy Breezes Blow.’  She is rather petite in person and has a pretty face, but failed to make a favorable impression.  Her singing is fair to middling, and her acting is rather tame.”
