“Amusements. Broadway Theatre. The tide of success which has attended the engagement at this establishment of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Williams, the most popular people in their peculiar kind at present on the stage, continue undiminished, and their representations nightly given before a crowded auditorium. Shandy Maguire and An Hour in Seville are still on the bills. In the former Mr. Williams represents the jolly, hardy Irishman, ever ready for a dance or a fight, with a gusto peculiarly his own, and in the latter Mrs. Williams appears in a rapid succession in eight different characters, all totally dissimilar, but made up and carried out in a style blending the artistic with the marvellous [sic].”
