Success of the German Opera. The German Opera at the Stadttheater has been doing excellent business. On this side of the city, people don’t have the high expectations as on the other side. They are delighted to see full operas after they had to be content with only excerpts of the Freischütz etc. They saw the grand tenor Signor Klein, the famous bassist Lange, the unsurpassed prima donna Mrs. von Berkel and others perform. The diligent conductor Neuendorff has managed to always have a good ensemble perform, which makes up for other flaws. Mr. Weinlich will become a member of the German opera ensemble.
