The performance was very well attended. The cast did their best to meet the requirements of their roles and performed satisfactorily. Irschick was welcomed by the audience with flowers and much applause. Dombrowsky’s ‘Struen Fairy’ could have shown more elegance and less heavy declamation. Mrs. Becker-Grahn as ‘Queen Widow’ performed decently, as well as Mr. Colmar as ‘Count Renzau-Aschbery’. Neuendorf conducted the theater orchestra well.
