The new ensemble for the Stadttheater has been performing for three weeks. (…) Kloss, senior, does not live up to the popularity of his predecessor in the genre of farce. His comedic style is uncouth, almost vulgar. The tenor buffo, who was hired for operettas, seems to suffer from chronic hoarseness. Miss Hafner, Mr. Koppe, and Mr. Brüggemann “would not be a loss if they’d move to the West.” Mr. Eolmer has the appropriate skills for his genre. We would also like to praise the repertoire, the stage director, and the director Rosenberg. The repertory is well chosen, the performances are well rehearsed, and the scenery is much improved. (…)
