“J. H. Williams, a cornet player, joined the company last week.  He is a sweet player, and his solo was heartily applauded.  Master Barney, the jiggist, continued to jig it, to the delight of all present.  In consequence of a huge boil over his left eye, which entirely closed that optic, Mr. Wambold was prevented from appearing in his accustomed seat, but we heard his voice in the quartet from behind the scenes.”
