“Amusements. Griffin & Christy’s Minstrels. The Fifth Avenue Opera House was crowded last night by a highly respectable audience, which manifested its appreciation of the select and diversified programme of songs, ballads and burlesque interludes, by repeated and hearty outbursts of applause. The songs of ‘Dublin Bay,’ by C. F. Shattuck, and ‘Cat in the Corner,’ by J. T. Boyce, were deservedly encored, and the poses fantastiques of the Biglimb Ballet Troupe, in the Black Crook burlesque, elicited shouts of laughter.”
