“An increase of interest in Madame Ristori’s representations has been manifested by the inquiries for seats since the announcement that she was to appear on Monday evening in the classic character of Myrrha.”
“The music in the fourth act of the tragedy of Myrrha was written by the celebrated composer, Cimarosa, for the famous Italian actress, [Anna Fiorilli] Pelandi, who shone at the beginning of this century. This music was afterward presented by Pelandi to her worthy pupil, Carolina Internari, as a sacred artistic testimonial. In 1860, Internari, being in the company of Signora Ristori, to attest her admiration and friendly feeling, made a gift to the latter of the music of Cimarosa which had always been associated with the triumphs of the two before named actresses.”
“Her success was complete with a large and critical audience…”
