“The music in the fourth act of the tragedy of Myrrha was written by the celebrated composer, Cimarosa, for the famous Italian actress, [Anna Fiorilli] Pelandi, who shone at the beginning of this century. This music was afterward presented by Pelandi to her worthy pupil, Carolina Internari, as a sacred artistic testimonial. In 1860, Internari, being in the company of Signora Ristori, to attest her admiration and friendly feeling, made a gift to the latter of the music of Cimarosa which had always been associated with the triumphs of the two before named actresses.”
