“The last weeks of 'Under the Gaslight'--one of the most successful local pieces produced in this city for many a day—is announced at the New York Theatre.  It has been withdrawn in the height of its popularity owing to the previous engagement of M'lle Zoe, who commenced her sensational dramas on the 7th inst.  Such immense crowds as this piece has drawn for several weeks, have been equaled only by the audiences who attend the ‘Black Crook’ entertainment.”
