“[bad copy] The Eighth Avenue Opera House is doing a lively business . . . great card Johnny Thompson, who has made . . . in his acts of the 'Lively Moke,' 'Cow-bell-Ogeons,' and his song and dance. He is called out four or five times for each act, and the audience do not appear to tire of seeing him.  The 'Cow-bell-Ogeons' is a good act, and with Thompson, Kerns, Hall and Warren in their imitations, is nightly received with hearty applause. The variety company engaged here includes the names of Florence, Wells, Bloodgood, Geo. Warren, Crissie Canovan, W.B. Cavanagh, Maggie Vernon, Helene Smith, Josh Hart and the Broadway Boys, all of whom appear each evening in single and double acte.”
