“If the audience that nightly throng the theatre occupied by the above named company continue to increase much longer, Messrs. Birch & Wambold will be compelled to stretch the new hall a few sizes larger. Last evening every seat and standing room was occupied, and quite a number of persons were necessitated to return their tickets in consequence of not being able to find standing room. This state of affairs has existed for some time past, and the San Francisco Minstrels must be highly pleased with this evidence of their popularity. Last evening the programme performed was received with hearty applause, and occasioned considerable laughter. Billy Birch, Wambold and all of the ‘inimitables’ kept the audience amused and entertained until the close of the representations. The Meteoric Showers in particular was received with loud manifestations of pleasure.”

Condemns the disappearance of Ainsley Scott, who “secretly got his clothes from his dressing room” on November 19 and left the city, while his name was still on the bills for the evening's performance, without informing management.
