In a general meeting of the Allgemeine Sängerbund at the Germania Assembly Rooms yesterday afternoon, the delegates proposed to elect officers for two years instead of one, and also to admit former choruses back into the Sängerbund waiving the admission fee. However, in both matters it was decided to stay with the original bylaws. It was also decided to have a concert and ball in the fall.

Another topic was the decision of the Central Committee of the 10th Choral Festival that they are entitled to elect the delegates for the organization’s convention for an Ost Sängerbund and also that they are entitled to organize the New York singers for the 11th Choral Festival. This aroused strong objections from many members, and following a debate of almost 2 hours, led to harsh words and came to no conclusion. A meeting of all objecting members was announced.
