On Aug. 11, Thomas Maguire charged that one of his troupe, Foo-Kee-Mats had stolen $3,500 and requested his arrest. The defendant was liberated after a hearing on Aug. 12, because his peers had voluntarily authorized him to receive money from Maguire on their behalf.
