“‘Rip van Winkle,’ an opera by Geo. F. Bristow, is to be one of the first produced at the Academy of Music, in this city, after it is rebuilt, by Max Maretzek, with a good cast, new scenery, dresses, &c. Bristow is an American artist, and his opera is said to be a first class composition. He just completed a new oratorio entitled ‘Daniel.’”
