“The double attraction of a Japanese and Arab company, at the Olympic, is drawing crowded houses.  The Arabs alone are deserving of the increased patronage.”

“Such a combination of talent as was effected last week by Manager Crover, of the Olympic Theatre, is seldom witnessed in this or any other country, embracing as it did the troupe of Arabs known as the Beni Zoug Zoug lately  performing at the French Theatre and a party of Arabs called 'The Great Dragon Troupe,' lately arrived in this city from San Francisco under the management of E.G. Bert and others. Of the Arabs we have previously spoken in these columns, and will but add here that they are certainly the most expert and graceful gymnasts and acrobats we have ever seen, and their performances are very pleasing and entertaining.  Of the Dragons we cannot speak so highly.  Coming as they did after Maguire and Risley’s party, and on the same night that another party opened at the Academy, their performances suffered in comparison.”
