“Italian Opera in November -- Notwithstanding the delays attending the erection of the Academy of Music, we are not to be deprived of our regular opera season this fall. Mr. Maretzek has engaged [the] Winter Garden for a period of six weeks, beginning with the middle of November, and will occupy it on alternate nights with Edwin Booth, giving one matinee every week.”
