Eduard Hamann announces the addition of the partial owner Hermann Rosenberg to the directorship of the theater, which is “E. Hamann & H. Rosenberg” from today on.
In a separate paragraph below, the new direction assures the audience the continuous effort to meet and fully satisfy the demands of their patrons.
Stadttheater. The former company Hoym and Hamann had taken the Stadttheater to a level of high quality performing arts. At the height of success, E. Hamann took over the direction of the theater on his own. He was supported by a brave friend, Hermann Rosenberg, who since last Monday (11/04/67) joined Hamann in the directorship of the institution.
Rosenberg is a true gentleman who dislikes any form of untidiness, which noticeably led to much improvement in the theater already. The costumes are in much better shape, unnecessary clutter in the theater was removed, the auditorium was cleaned up thoroughly and the ushers are more cordial.
Unfortunately the area of quality performances lags behind. “Curiosities” has been performed at the theater, and the NY audience came and tried it out just as it does with Barnum’s. Economically the box office did well.
