On a report that Maretzek will raise prices – “We think it would be a mistake on the part of the management, not only as regards the feeling it would produce among the habitués of the Academy of Music, but also in its results as a speculation. The prices paid now are remunerative if the house is well filled, which it certainly will be if the performances are good.”
