"The profession came near losing one of its brightest ornaments last week. Mr. Barney Williams took large quantities of a medicine in which a druggist's clerk had substituted laudanum for paregoric and was only saved by the stomach pump. Mr. Williams should henceforth 'throw physic to the dogs'."
