The NY Singakademie celebrated its 10th Annual Anniversary of their Foundation Day at the Germania Assembly Rooms last Wednesday…The Mixed Chorus’ performance of Abt’s ‘Abendlied’ received much recognition because of its extraordinary precision. Mr. Nuss followed with a difficult and in part monotone violin solo by Wieniawsky. Despite his amateur status, he impressed.

Mr. Dehnhoff and Mr. Greiner sang the duet for tenor and bass ‘Jessonda’ by Spohr quite well.

For the final chorus ‘Die Liebe’ by Kreutzer we would have wished for a slower tempo and more precision…
