Billy Birch out-did Birch; he electrified his audiences by the spontaneousness with which he let off his combustible material. Backus and Bernard indulged in their penchant of shooting folly as it fliesd. Wambold’s vocalization is as popular as ever; the instrumental department is in excellent hands, and we have seldom listened to as delicately and sweetly rendered refrains, duets and choruses.”
