A Sacred Concert took place at the St. Johannes Church at Christopher Street as a benefit for the Sunday school of this church. The children’s choir of the church, the Laetitia mixed chorus, and the Colonia men’s chorus participated in the well attended concert. The program consisted of many serious pieces including Kerner’s hymn “Der Herr ist Gott” performed noticeably well by the Colonia men’s chorus. The organist R. Goller conducted the concert.
