“Mr. Theodore L’Arronge, the clever low comedian of this theatre, took a benefit in burlesque and operetta last night which was very largely attended. Mme. L’Arronge, who appeared on this occasion, is really one of the best comediennes and singers that has ever appeared on the metropolitan stage, and it is only a pity that she cannot have an opportunity of displaying her wonderful talents before a more aristocratic, or at least diversified, audience. The rest of the company also deserves praise.”
