“The Theatre Comique offers its patrons this week a carefully made out programme containing not only the first appearance of three new faces to its patrons, but some of the most successful bits of the season in the way of Ethiopian sketches and various other acts.  W. Carleton, the very popular Irish vocalist and jiggist; Mlle. Helene, a very pleasing danseuse, and J. Kelly, balladist, commence and engagement this evening.  A burlesque circus will be performed by all the company, the minstrels appearing in a regular first part.  Charley White, Ben Cotton, Little Mack and Dick Ralph appear in Ethiopian eccentricities and Dave Hanley gymnasticates.”
