“So long as the ‘Grand Dutch S’ continues to attract such crowded houses as it has the last three weeks at Kelly and Leon’s minstrel hall, we shall not find a change in the programme, except in the first part and the olio. Last week there was not an evening that the hall was not crowded, and on some evenings every available standing spot was occupied. In the olio S. S. Purdy and Nelse Seymour did a comic act called ‘Aeronauts,’and Sam Price, with his act of ‘Spiritualism,’ kept the audience in roars of laughter. Hogan and Hughes, two young men who have made rapid progress in their business in the past year, appeared in a double jig, which they executed very well. Since their first appearance at this hall they have improved each week, and are now excellent double. Cloggists, jiggists, and very funny in the comic Irish jig business.”
