Long positive review. “The leading tableaux were heartily redemanded [sic] last evening, while the picturesque effect of the Gypsy encampment and its surprise by the riflemen, and Mr. Lester’s [sic] singing of ‘Luddy Fuddy,’ were especially enjoyed by the audience.”

Compares new cast to former cast; no mention of music. “The revival of ‘Rosedale,’ with a cast partially new and entirely new scenery, had the result to attract an immense house at Wallack’s last evening. . . . An excellent cast, on the whole, and better put on the stage than formerly. ‘Rosedale’ is likely, however, to have an exceedingly long run, in spite of the loss of one or two of its stars.”
