The benefit performance filled the house. The music of the operetta was neither inventive nor of especially high quality; however, there are some pretty pieces in the score. The text was plain, however the plot fulfilled the desires of modern audience and thus the audience was very satisfied. The leading role actors received much applause. Especially the CanCan dance, gracefully performed by Haffner and Fortner, was enthusiastically applauded.

...Haffner’s singing and acting was excellent, as was her dancing. The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein could envy the speed and grace with which Haffner performed the CanCan.
