“‘The Grand Dutch S’ is still upon the boards at this establishment and is drawing good houses. Song and dance and waggeries of all sorts are the order of the night, and the follies of the day, too, receive some notice at the hands of these sable Solomons.”

“Eighteen performers are now on in the first part of the entertainment offered by Kelly and Leon’s Minstrels. The latest addition to the company is J. W. Hilton, who has been connected with the minstrel business in this city for some time. As a basso he is one of the best in the business, and his singing of “Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep’ was deservedly applauded each evening the past week. The burlesque of the ‘Grand Dutch S’ continues to be the great feature of the evening’s entertainment, and assists in attracting crowded houses. The oftener we witness it the better we like it, and no one can see it for the first or second time without having a desire to go again. There is an entire change in the first part this week, and several new features are introduced in the olio.”
