“On the same evening, at Dodworth’s Saloon, the Mendelssohn Glee Club gave its fourth concert. The members of the Club sang several glees in an acceptable manner, and a lady amateur astonished every one by the purity of her voice. Mr. S. B. Mills was the solo pianist, and played an Etude by CHOPIN, a Mazurka by Gottschalk, and his own ‘Recollections of Home.’”
