The German Stadttheater has reopened after its renovation. New carpeting, new upholstery, the box tapestry is now green instead of red. The new curtain depicts a Swiss landscape, and the newly decorated prosceniums boxes are a visual feast with its green and gold tapestry and ornamentation. The theater makes a very pleasant impression. The performances have been attended well; if there hadn’t been a heat wave and high humidity, the attendance might even be higher, although the theater has excellent ventilation.
