“The two hundredth performance of Humpty Dumpty, at the Olympic Theatre, takes place on Tuesday next Sept. 10th [sic], on which occasion some changes will take place in the action of the pantomime. Louis Zanfretta, who has been engaged, makes his debut this evening. Mary Blake has made her re-entre in the ballet and Miss De Vere has withdrawn. Charles and Carrie Austin continue to appear in their musket drill which has proved an attractive card. They certainly handle the musket more dexterously than any other performers who have made this act a feature. Great business is being done by ‘Humpty Dumpty.’”

Humpty Dumpty at the Olympic enters successfully upon its twenty-seventh week, and it still possesses sufficient attraction to crowd the house nightly. The Zouave Drill of the Austins is now the great and leading feature in the pantomime.”

“The same entertainment which ran through the Spring season, and exhausted the Summer, entered the new term in as big a blaze of glory as that with which it began its career six months ago. ‘Humpty Dumpty’ indeed, looks good for six months more. It really deserves its extended lease of popularity.” No mention of music.

“The regular fall and winter season at the Olympic Theatre commences this evening, when E. F. Taylor assumes the stage management in place of G. L. Fox. Carrie Augusta Moore, the female ‘skatist,’ has withdrawn from this establishment. Humpty Dumpty continues to be the powerful magnet that attracts overflowing houses every evening and Saturday afternoon.”
