On evenings at the Stadttheater when Hendrichs is not performing, the auditorium is mostly empty, although the regular ensemble performs their comedies in a decent and entertaining fashion. It is regrettable that the German people do not support the performing arts here in the United States. In Germany, princes and counts support and promote the arts and science; however, since there is no royalty in this free country, it is up to the people to do so. Especially the Christians hold back their support; not so the Jews, however. The Jews support the arts and science wherever in the world they reside. “Jews love the arts more than the Christians do”…
