In a recent concert of Theo. Thomas at the Central Park Garden, the first work of the composer A. Nembach was introduced. Beginning with a slow pace, the composer moves on skillfully into the allegro part. The arrangement is ‘strictly elastic” [quote], played with verve and ends with a big effect. Although the instrumentation seemed insecure in some parts, the composition shows evidence of talent, a thorough musical education and skill and justifies grand expectations. The young composer lives in Cincinnati and is well-known there for his skills as a musician and conductor. We believe we will hear more of him.
