“The Board of Officers beg leave to announce to the subscribers and members that they have secured the valuable services of Mr. THEODORE THOMAS as Conductor of the society during the season of 1868 and 1869. They also announce that the first rehearsal of the season will be held at the society’s rooms, corner of Fifth avenue and Fourteenth street, on Monday evening, 28th inst., at eight o’clock, and every succeeding Monday at the same time and place. Persons desirous of joining the society are invited to make an early application on the evening of the rehearsal.”
