“McEvoy’s Hibernicon continues to do such a big business at Pike’s Music Hall that the manager has concluded to remain there for some time longer. On several occasions the large hall has been found inadequate to accommodate the rush, and the painting has been exhibited in Pike’s Opera House. It is well worth seeing.”

“McEvoy’s Hibernicon, which has been attracting crowded audiences to Pike’s Music Hall for six weeks, remains there, and probably will for several weeks to come. As a painting it is a success, and one of the best ever put on canvas for panoramic representation.”
