“Crowd.  Offertory was ‘For Unto us a child is born’ (excellently done). The rest of the music vapid Anglican commonplace. The anthem was by one Brumby or possibly ‘Binsby’ (vide Dickens= Dimbey), an Anthem as was an Anthem! If his name be Barnby, he is too dull to be ‘Drunken Barnabee’ whose ‘Journal’ is rather funny.”
