“A birthday representation of ‘Humpty Dumpty’ was given at the Olympic last night, when the mischievous sprite became one year old. He is as full of pranks as such a child might be expected to be. There was a good audience at the Olympic last evening in spite of the rain, though of course the storm kept many persons away. After the performance the manager entertained a large number of friends, in a pleasant way, in honor of the event. The front of the house was decorated with flags, and the windows were illuminated. A calcium light was shown early in the evening.”
