First reviews the Saturday (03/13/69) evening performance of Narcisse at this theater. “…The Saturday Matinée of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ [sic], at this house, was likewise witnessed by a great multitude. The popular success of Mr. Booth’s opening bill may be measured by the fact that the nightly receipts at this theater range between $1,500 and $2,000. ‘Romeo and Juliet’ will be acted for a long time yet.”
