"Time runs on with unerring swiftness, and everything must come to an end—even the best of things. This is the case with the New York Circus. The last week of its stay in this city for the present is fast approaching, and shortly the concern will be seeking fields and pastures new, delighting our country cousins. Therefore our citizens should take advantage of the few opportunities left of witnessing one of the best and most completely organized equestrian, gymnastic and acrobatic troupes in the country. To say that this company have succeeded in this city in establishing itself as an institution is not using strong enough terms. The patronage bestowed proves unquestionably that they have intrinsic merit. Caroline Rolland re-appears this week in a bareback act of equestrianism.”
