As per the New York Herald: “Series of Grand Concerts for 1869, by Dodworth’s Brass, String and Reed Bands, will be given Every Evening on board the World Renowned Steamers Bristol and Providence, leaving pier No. 28 North river, foot of Murray street, Daily, at 5 P. M., For Boston, Via Newport and Fall River. The Brass Band will play a selection of the most popular music for one hour before leaving the dock and on their passage from the stream to the Sound.”
