“O.S. Fawcett, who has been the first low comedian at Walnut Street Theatre, Philadelphia, for the past four seasons, where he is quite a favorite with the public, opens at the Theatre Comique on the 19th inst. This will be his first appearance in this city in three years, he having previously played at the Winter Garden during the great run of ‘Hamlet’…” Lists other previous New York City performances.
Announces pieces; “Mr. Boniface has been engaged as a stage manager here, and Mr. J. C. Williamson is shortly to be added to the company.”
– “A change in the first part of the programme is made this week at the Theatre Comique, when the amusing drama of ‘Robert Macaire’ will be presented, for the purpose of introducing to its patrons Owen S. Fawcett, a popular comedian, in the role of Jaques Strop, supported by George Boniface, as Robert Macaire. The burlesque of ‘Pluto,’ which is also presented for the eighty-second time this evening, is to be reconstructed next week.”
