Notes some changes made to the “very apparent improvement” of the work: “…It now includes two parts, the pantomime and the burlesque being kept quite distinct from each other, and a very beautiful transformation scene, with which the first of the two acts terminates…” No mention of music.

“The singers are in accord with the orchestra, and the complicated machinery of the scenes runs smoothly... We can only repeat our commendation of Miss Taylor’s very good singing. She has a pretty voice and a more than usual amount of execution... The music is under the direction of Mr. F. W. Humphrey, a most capable leader. The selections are made with much taste, and the teneral excellence of the play is largely aided by the efficiency of the orchestra.”
