Wood’s Museum will close its dramatic department with the present week, it having been found absolutely necessary to do so from the great mechanical preparations for the burlesque, pantomimic and spectacular production of ‘Robinson Crusoe,’ which Colville assures us will be positively brought out on the evening of Monday, May 3. The museum department, however, will be opening throughout the day and evening as usual.”

“‘Robinson Crusoe,’ at Wood’s Museum, is perfect in its rehearsals, so far as dialogue is concerned, the characters being all here and said to have been selected on account of their speciality of talent. There has been some delay in the arrival of the scenery, and it having been found to be very elaborate in character, the transformation scene presenting twelve changes, the mechanical appliances have been found to be necessarily great; hence the closing of the dramatic department during the present week.”
