Review: New York Post, 07 June 1869.

“The Theodore Thomas concerts at Central Park Garden continue to be the most attractive musical entertainments of the kind at present open in the city. Mr. Levy is the chief solo attraction, as he has been since the first night of the season. Tonight he will play an Ave Maria by Gounod, and the ‘Carnival of Venice.’ The ‘Fidelio,’ ‘Masaniello’ and ‘Orpheus’ overtures are on this evening’s programme of orchestral music.”
