Announcement: New York Post, 14 July 1869, 2.

A long announcement about the upcoming withdrawal of Hiccory diccory dock. It closes: “The original ballet, led by Mlle. Sangalli, will be withdrawn within a few days; it having lost its attraction since the coming of the Kiralfy troupe. These wonderful dancers are to appear next week in a new ballet. For brilliancy of execution, and reckless dash and gaiety, they have never been excelled; and some of their feats of agility are entirely new to our stage.”

“The high-kicking Kiraflys, who are now nightly delighting large audiences at the Olympic with their ‘light fantastic’ manœvers, will appear in a new sensational ballet divertissement at that establishment on next Monday evening.”

Announcement: New York Herald, 24 July 1869, 5.

“The supple and high-kicking Kiralfy troupe of sensational dancers, who are at present delighting large audiences at the Olympic with their astonishing saltatorial [sic] gyrations, make their appearance on next Monday evening win a new and original ballet divertissement, entitled the ‘Harvest Home.’ During the progress of the ballet the Kiralfy Brothers will execute an extraordinary pas de deux, which is spoken of as being sensational to the extreme. The new ballet, which will number thirty persons, will have the advantage of a splendid setting from the pencil of Hayes in the shape of a new scene, illustrative of a wheat field.”

Part of longer article on different changes of program at various theaters. “It would be too much to expect that the Olympic should withdraw its prosperous pantomime, simply for the sake of change; nevertheless, Monday night will offer a notable novelty to the Olympian audiences, who will have the pleasure of seeing the Kiralfy troupe in a new ballet spectacle, which will be judiciously inserted somewhere in the course of the pantomime.”

Review: New-York Times, 26 July 1869, 5.

“The pantomime of ‘Hiccory Diccory Dock,’ now being represented at the Olympic Theatre, has been somewhat refreshed by the introduction of a new dance by the Kiralfys.’ Positively reviews Harvest home; no mention of music.

Review: New York Herald, 27 July 1869, 3.

“The health of Mr. Hiccory D. Dock has been uniformally [sic] good since he appeared on the stage of the Olympic, but the introduction of Imre and Bolossy Kiralfy into his happy family of contortionists has given him a new lease of life. The new divertissement of the ‘Harvest Home,’ which is a new feature in the pantomime of ‘Hiccory Diccory Dock,’ is excellently well arranged; the members of the ballet are perfect in their different parts; the dresses are tasteful, and the music leaves nothing to be desired. The performances of the Messrs. Kiralfy are in many respects unique, and are certainly amusing. Mr. Hiccory D. Dock will continue to run away with the money bag from a willing public for many a day.”

Announcement: New York Clipper, 31 July 1869, 134.

“This is the tenth week of the pantomime of ‘Hiccory Diccory Dock’ at the Olympic Theatre, in which G. L. Fox appears to advantage as clown, for he convulses his audiences with laughter from the time he makes his entrance until his shadow departs. That he is the funniest clown, both in make up and acting, that has yet been seen in this city, has long since been acknowledged by all, and the fact that the continues as popular with the public and as attractive as he did ten years ago, is another proof. This evening the new ballet, entitled ‘Harvest Home,’ will be presented in scene five, act first, of this pantomime, by the Kiralfy Troupe.”

“‘The Harvest Home’ is the title of the ballet divertissement presented at Olympic Theatre, the past week, by the Kiralfy Troupe. It is a very beautiful affair, and is [illeg…] and was enthusiastically applauded each evening.”
