"Miss Anna Mehlig, whose wonderful piano playing aroused such enthusiasm among our German citizens at their last Liederkranz concert that they all declare that the western world never heard such an artist before, has given two or three private concerts, which have made a deep impression among musicians, as well by the classical selections included in them, as by the perfection of her execution. We note the two following programmes as particularly interesting: [pieces as listed above; the first program listed before the “Intermission” and the second after it].

“It will be hoped that the taste for this class of music will grow rapidly here.”
