“Young Men’s Friendship Club. The annual reception of this association was held last night at Lyric Hall, about 120 being present. The attendance was not as good as last year; but the number present was just enough to render dancing pleasant and agreeable. An efficient band discoursed appropriate music, and the devotees of Terpsichore ‘tripped the light fantastic’ till an early hour. The arrangements, under the superintendence of Mr. C. Lutz, were everything to be desired.”
