“At Zion church [sic], in which Bishop Southgate officiates, Christmas services, under the direction of the organist, George F. Bristow, will be unusually interesting. The musical programme comprises a Venite, Glorias, by Mozart, Pening and Fairlamb; Te Deum, Fairlamb; Jubilate, Mosenthal, and selections from Bristow, Warren and Handel. The choir consists of Madame Elena Lanari, soprano; Miss Jennie Bull, contralto; W. J. Hill, tenor, and W. Beckett, bass. A large chorus from the New York and Morrisania Harmonic and Mendelssohn Union societies will assist.”
