Program Details

The Tammany opened its doors on Friday evening (12/31/69) and advertised that “all the theatres, concert room and promenades” would be “open till eighteen hundred and seventy.” Program included a “promenade concert and fanfaronade” (no specific time given). Advertisements also indicate “TWO PERFORMANCES. MATINEE AT 2 O’CLOCK,” which probably refers to the starting times of Bad Dickey. The bands together played “Grand pæen of bells” and various national anthems at the stroke of midnight.
